After last weeks win against Durkar, Next Gen continued their winning streak by going away and winning Wakefield FC 6-4.
Next Gen went into the match with full of confidence after a hard fought battle against Durkar. Next Gen recalled Manny Farooq to starting line up and had Kasim Malik impressing on his debute which made up a new back 4 and keeper. Jalil in goal, Fanta, Sam, Kasim and Naz.
Next Gen took the lead with a strike from Mehr Hussain in side the box. Wakefield FC equalised but Hussain was quick to respond for the Warriors. Wakefield FC responded with two goals and putting Next Gen on the back foot. Next Gen introduced Sunny in to the game to create a moment of magic. First half ended 3-2 to homeside.
Next Gen made some changes with Akbar coming in to defence and Golding going in net. Next Gen proved more solid at the back by only conceding 1 goal. Next Gen's impressive attacking line were to powerful for Wakefield FC with Farooq, Kaka and Akeem all adding to score line. Akeem changed the game with a 20yard screamer leaving the keeper with no chance and scored a solo effort for his brace. Farooq scrambled in the 5th goal for Next Gen with Kaka putting the icing on the cake with a neat lob over the keeper. The game could have had a lot more goals but unfortunetly for Sunny he could not find the back of the net and credit to Sam Golding for his brave goalkeeping.
Next Gen's man of the match was awarded to Jalil Akbar, Akeem Field and Mehr Hussain.
